Maximise your assets! What I mean by this is shopping around on the basis of what you can offer an insurance company as a safer driver. If you are over 50, make sure you get quotations from companies that specialise in insuring over 50 drivers. If you have a long no-claims discount that you have built up over several years of accident-free driving, make sure you seek insurance quotations from companies that reward accident-free drivers. Just focussing in on your own value to insurance companies in this way can motivate you to save money.

Additional Security? If you have fitted ANY kind of addional security, then make sure to tell your insurers when you are seeking a new car insurance quote.
